Dr. Michael Jakob

Dr. Michael Jakob is a Fellow with the Task Force Public Economics. His research interests include:
- Climate policy, especially in developing countries
- Economic growth and welfare
- Sustainable Development Goals
- Political Economy of Climate Policy
- Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform
Before joining MCC, Dr. Michael Jakob spent more than five years as a PhD student and postdoc researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. He holds a PhD in economics from the Technical University of Berlin and has obtained degrees in physics, economics, and international relations from universitites in Munich, St. Gallen, and Geneva.
